The Gearheart: Some riders feel that round chainrings are the smoothest to pedal: The circularity keeps a perfect radius, allowing the legs to stay fresh and fluid. Others believe elliptical chainrings are most efficient, optimizing those portions of the pedal stroke where a rider is naturally strongest. But we Gearhearts have a different shape in mind.
